Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily marine construction field activities, working closely with superintendents and foremen to ensure efficient project execution. Track production metrics and maintain accurate daily logs of crew activities, equipment usage, and material quantities to support payment documentation and project reporting. Enforce compliance with MSHA, OSHA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and company safety policies, including leading safety meetings and preparing required documentation. Communicate effectively between field teams and office staff, facilitating scheduling, material coordination, and adjustments to work plans based on site conditions. Perform progress surveys and assist in assembling cross sections and bathymetry maps to document project milestones and verify installation accuracy. Support superintendent and foremen in resource planning, including labor, equipment, and material needs, ensuring timely rock deliveries and material sourcing. Serve as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) or Quality Control (QC) Manager on USACE projects, ensuring strict adherence to EM 385-1-1 safety requirements. Report production variances and field observations promptly to the Project Manager, contributing to proactive project management and risk mitigation. What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in marine or heavy civil construction project engineering. Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and USACE safety standards and EM 385-1-1 compliance. Proven ability to coordinate field operations, track production, and maintain detailed project documentation. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively between field crews and office personnel. Proficiency with surveying techniques and construction project software tools. Preferred: Experience serving as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) or Quality Control Manager on USACE projects. Familiarity with marine construction equipment and material logistics.
