Project Manager/Estimator - Greenfield, MA

Join a leading asphalt paving company as a Project Manager/Estimator based in Greenfield, Massachusetts. This full-time role offers remote work eligibility and a competitive salary of $175,000 per year. About the Role As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing roadway construction and asphalt paving estimate packages. You will implement department standards and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all estimates. The company specializes in asphalt paving/resurfacing, bridge construction, earthwork/grading, roadway construction/rehabilitation, and highway projects. Key Duties Read and review plans, proposals, specifications, and RFPs to develop competitive bid packages. Solicit and analyze estimates from subcontractors and vendors. Prepare detailed reports and analyses related to estimating. Review labor, equipment, and material costs to prepare accurate estimates. Produce final contract estimates primarily for asphalt paving and roadway/site development projects. Assess project risks and exposures, incorporating these into cost estimates. Identify potential construction issues and value-engineering alternatives during the estimating process. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Experience with HCSS or equivalent estimating software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of asphalt laydown and roadway construction operations. Ability to interpret blueprints and written specifications. High attention to detail, including spreadsheet and data preparation skills. Education and Experience Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
