Quality Control Laboratory Technician

MacDermid Alpha Electronic Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician I to join our Quality Control team. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent science graduates or professionals looking to build a career in laboratory operations, quality systems, and manufacturing excellence.The successful candidate will support daily laboratory activities by performing quality control testing, documenting results, managing samples, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. As training progresses, additional testing methods and responsibilities will be assigned to support business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform physical and functional quality control testing following approved procedures and work instructions.Accurately document and record test results in laboratory records and computerized systems.Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity requirements.Receive, prepare, label, and manage laboratory samples.Maintain laboratory records, spreadsheets, reports, and documentation.Enter, retrieve, and update quality information using computer systems.Assist in reviewing, organizing, and maintaining laboratory data.Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.Monitor and communicate testing discrepancies, documentation issues, and non-conforming materials.Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.Participate in training, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives.Support compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's Degree in a Science-related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Fluent Spanish (written and verbal).PreferredBachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, medical device, or other regulated environments.Experience with quality systems and controlled documentation.Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, or similar systems.Intermediate English proficiency.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
