Job description
Austin Machine, a well-established aerospace job shop, is hiring an experienced CMM Quality Inspector for a full-time, on-site day-shift position in O’Fallon, Missouri. This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have hands-on CMM experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform first-piece inspections on parts from CNC machines.
- Conduct in-process production inspections and final inspections.
- Inspect and approve incoming materials and outside processing.
- Follow AS9100 requirements and use AS9102 procedures and forms.
- Read engineering drawings, work with CAD solid models, and apply GD&T.
- Use CMM equipment to verify part dimensions and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Prior quality inspection experience; this is not an entry-level position.
- Required hands-on CMM experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work with CAD solid models.
- Experience with GD&T.
