Job description
Summary
Rukaiya Malik is seeking a dedicated Quality Supervisor to lead our Quality Assurance team in Cypress, California. Reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance, this role supervises over 10 direct reports and collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, and Crystal Manufacturing departments. You will also engage with suppliers and customers to support aerospace business needs.
This multifaceted position encourages proactive problem-solving and project involvement with managerial approval, fostering a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Internal Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CAR/PAR)
- Assist in responding to customer Supplier Corrective and Preventative Action Requests, including Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct Internal Audits as part of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support the Quality Manager with various tasks and projects
- Assist in company-wide audits by external certifying agencies and customers, including the annual AS9100 audit
- Prepare company-wide quality metrics for management review with the Director of Quality Assurance
- Develop, update, and train employees on Standard Operating Procedures and forms
- Write and update Procurement General and Detail Specification Control Drawings (SCDs) for production components
- Perform failure analysis on Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and in-house failures in collaboration with engineering
- Coordinate outside test lab analysis as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven leadership experience managing quality teams
- Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards and AS9100 requirements
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental and external collaboration
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
