Employment Type: Part TimeShift’s Available: NightHours: 12-hour - 6:00pm to 6:30am (Thursday and Friday)Call: Volunteer Basis OnlyLocation: Saint John Hospital - Leavenworth, KS We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II, sometimes referred to as a Computer Tomography Tech or CT Tech. As the Radiology Technologist II you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. ResponsibilitiesIf you just recently graduated and have your ARRT-R, looking to cross train in CT, you are encouraged to apply!!Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the CT table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may haveOperate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all timesMonitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedureAssist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain proceduresAccountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate imagesResponsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene QualificationsLicensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by StateEffective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities requiredCurrent BCLS (AHA)Must be familiar with State and Federal regulationsOne year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferredGraduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferredProficient computer skills Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits Full benefits at Prime Healthcare.
