Job description
Cftc is hiring a full-time Recovery Specialist – Cryptocurrency and Asset Recovery in Three Brothers, Maryland. In this onsite role, you will investigate cryptocurrency losses, trace digital asset transactions, and coordinate recovery efforts to help protect client investments and uphold trust in the blockchain ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess cryptocurrency loss cases and develop thorough asset recovery strategies.
- Trace digital asset transactions using forensic tools and blockchain analysis software.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies on recovery matters.
- Document investigative and recovery work and maintain accurate case records.
- Educate clients on cryptocurrency security and asset management best practices.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to projects that improve recovery processes and investigative tools.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in asset recovery, financial investigations, or a related area.
- Experience with cryptocurrency platforms and blockchain technology.
- Familiarity with digital asset forensic investigation tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is preferred.
Work Environment
You will collaborate with legal experts, IT professionals, and client account managers. This is a full-time, onsite position; remote work is not offered.
