The RN Emergency Nurse plays a critical role in identifying medical issues, assessing severity, and delivering immediate support to minimize long-term effects and sustain life when necessary. Working under pressure, you will provide first-line care to patients admitted to the Emergency Room at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago. We emphasize compassionate, respectful patient care while utilizing advanced practice skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving to meet each patient's unique needs. Key Responsibilities: Use the nursing process, critical thinking, and professional judgment to care for assigned patients. Assess patient needs and determine appropriate care requirements. Plan care and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel based on assessments. Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans as needed. Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care. Demonstrate independent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Care for complex, higher acuity patients by synthesizing information and resources. Complete unit-specific competencies and mandatory continuing education. Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts: 7AM-7:30PM, 11AM-11PM, or 7PM-7:30AM Why Join Us?
