ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ESTIMATOR
The client is a full-service energy construction contractor specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground pipelines and associated facilities.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator will drive the success of complex construction projects. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs related to electrical and instrumentation systems,ensuring project bids are competitive yet profitable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare complete E&I estimates from conceptual through detailed design phases,including labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costsAnalyze RFPs, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate bid packages for industrial, RNG, renewables, and oil & gas projectsUtilize Accubid software to build, manage,and review estimates with precision and efficiencyCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations staff to validate assumptions and align on scopeIdentify scope gaps,exclusions, and risks;clearly communicate to leadership during bid reviewsDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricingParticipate in bid strategy sessions and post-bid analysis to improve future estimating accuracyMaintain an organized database of historical costs,productivity rates, and project data

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS5+ years of E&I estimating experience in an industrial settingDemonstrated experience with RNG, renewable energy, and/or oil & gas projects strongly preferredProficiency with Accubid estimating software is requiredSolid understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and applicable codes (NEC, ISA, etc.)Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, and specificationsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and organizational skills
