About the role
Central Maine Medical Center is part of Central Maine Healthcare, an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents through more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) new graduate role is designed for new graduate respiratory therapists. Under the direction of a licensed physician and departmental leadership, the RCP provides basic respiratory care procedures and participates in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic respiratory care procedures under the direction of a licensed physician and departmental leadership.
- Participate in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Support safe, high-quality, evidence-based care while progressing toward full licensure and independent practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Eligible to sit for the National Board for Respiratory Care credentialing exams.
- Holds a Temporary Respiratory Therapist License.
