Security Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, risk management, or controls governance.
• Hands-on experience conducting security risk assessments and evaluating security controls.
• Proven ability to drive remediation activities and manage security issues through closure.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, COBIT, or similar.
• Understanding of cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of IAM, secrets management, encryption, and key management.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts, cryptography, and distributed ledger platforms, such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, Canton, Solana, or Polygon.
• Preferred: Experience with secure SDLC, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, and security testing.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GRC tools such as Archer, ServiceNow GRC, or MetricStream.
• Preferred: Experience developing risk metrics, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Preferred: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native security controls.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP, or AWS Security Specialty.
