Job description
About the role
Supporting a premier corporate client in Chicago, IL (60632).
Tasks
- Assist the CFO in compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow).
- Maintain absolute integrity across the general ledger by reviewing, posting, and adjusting journal entries through the Month-End Close process.
- Conduct rigorous bank and account reconciliations, manage internal/external audit support, and analyze variances against forecasts.
- Manage full transactional lifecycles including AP (3-way match, weekly check runs) and AR (cash receipts, credit card reconciliations, and variance resolution).
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with advanced accounting systems and ERP engines. Knowledge of MAS 90 / Sage 100 or Crystal Reports is highly valued.
- Background operating within a manufacturing or inventory-heavy business model is a major plus.
- Proven capability to execute the complete accounting cycle autonomously, coupled with an exceptional attention to data integrity and confidential handling.
- Must be located within a comfortable 45-minute commute of the Chicago 60632 area.
