Senior Tax Accountant Jobs in Boston, MA

LanceSoft Inc. is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant in Boston, Massachusetts. This full-time, permanent position offers hybrid or remote options and an annual salary of $90,000–$110,000.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, and 1041.
• Develop tax projections and identify tax-saving strategies for business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
• Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices, audits, penalty abatements, and Offer in Compromise requests.
• Review financial statements, prepare adjusting journal entries, and provide accounting support.
• Help clients set up general ledgers and use accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
• Research federal and state tax regulations, multi-state nexus, and industry-specific tax matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two to five or more years of relevant tax experience at a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software such as UltraTax, Drake, or ProConnect.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and multi-state tax filings.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and client relationship skills.
• CPA license, Enrolled Agent (EA) credential, or active progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
