Senior Accountant

About the role

Kelly Professional & Industrial is partnering with a well-established global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This hands-on accounting role includes ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account analyses, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure tracking.
• Support customer rebate and promotional program accounting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting.
• Review and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Review accounting staff work and provide guidance as needed.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Power BI is a plus.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience reviewing or supervising accounting staff preferred.
• Office products or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
