Kelly Services is partnering with a well-established global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement.If you have strong GAAP knowledge, solid general ledger experience, and a background in manufacturing or cost accounting, this could be a great next step in your career.
What You'll DoLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesPrepare journal entries, account analyses, reconciliations, and financial reportsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsManage fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure trackingSupport customer rebate and promotional program accountingPerform bank reconciliations and cash management activitiesAssist with inventory and cost accountingReview and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activitiesReview accounting staff work and provide guidance as neededSupport internal and external auditsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company policiesIdentify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls
What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting5–7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accountingAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferredManufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferredExperience with Power BI is a plusCPA or CPA candidate preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExperience reviewing or supervising accounting staff preferredOffice products or manufacturing industry experience is a plus
