Job description
Tasks
- Prepare and review financial statements and working papers for compilation, review, and audit engagements
- Review junior staff work and provide constructive feedback and technical guidance
- Prepare corporate, personal, trust, and charity tax returns
- Handle GST/HST, PST, WorkSafeBC, and other compliance filings
- Manage client files, deadlines, and engagement budgets
- Communicate with clients and the CRA on routine matters
- Mentor junior accountants and CPA articling students
Requirements
- CPA designation (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years of public practice accounting experience, including Senior Accountant-level experience
- Experience reviewing working papers, financial statements, and tax returns
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and assurance standards
- Working knowledge of CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks, Sage 50, and Excel
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- IFRS exposure is an asset
