Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Android OS/platform features for PolyOS 5.x.
Implement features required to achieve parity with PolyOS 4.x.
Work on Zoom and Google Meet provider integrations.
Develop and maintain standalone applications, SDKs, and platform APIs.
Build Android system services, framework components, and native integrations.
Troubleshoot platform-level issues using ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, and Bugreports.
Collaborate with HP engineering and architecture teams.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to offshore developers.
Develop unit and integration tests and support QA activities.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and release activities.
Required Skills & Experience
7–10 years of overall software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience in Android OS / AOSP / Android Framework development.
Strong Java and/or Kotlin programming skills.
Working knowledge of C/C++ and JNI.
Experience with Android System Services, Framework Components, System Apps, AIDL, and Binder.
Experience building Android OS images and working with AOSP build systems.
Strong debugging skills using ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, and Bugreports.
Experience developing SDKs, libraries, and APIs.
Experience working on embedded, dedicated, or purpose-built Android devices.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and MCP Servers.
Ability to work US business hours and collaborate with India-based engineering teams.
Good to Have
Android 11 to Android 13 migration experience.
Experience with video conferencing, collaboration, audio/video, or communication devices.
Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or Google Meet hardware.
Exposure to Poly, Cisco, Logitech, Neat, or Yealink devices.
