About the role
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bridge Sr. Project Engineer to work within its Indiana Transportation Team. The role includes a variety of projects for INDOT, local municipalities and county clients across the state of Indiana, with opportunities to collaborate with bridge design experts in several states.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects with complex features, performing work directly or through others.
- Lead projects in the area of specialization and oversee large or multidiscipline project teams.
- Develop design alternatives for complex engineering projects, considering requirements, constraints, community input, permitting and regulatory constraints.
- Integrate engineering economics and risk analysis into solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Develop standards and guidelines, integrate advanced concepts to solve complex problems, and share expertise through teaching others.
- Recommend personnel and funds required to carry out project work.
Requirements
- 16+ years of experience.
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering; a master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with reciprocity in multiple states.
- Driver’s license.
- Ability to use creativity, foresight and mature judgment to anticipate and solve problems, set priorities, reconcile competing directions, and demonstrate leadership.
