Senior C/C++ Developer

Tasks

• Provides technical advice on complex programming.
• Expertise in programming in C/C++.Experience working with POSIX message queues and multithreaded applications.
• Knowledge of Unix shell scripting/Perl.
• Working with relevant users and development managers, define the requirements for a particular software release
• Write technical design specifications for the relevant software.
• Debug and troubleshoot new as well as existing code.
• Work closely with QA and Operations staff to ensure a smooth roll-out of new releases.
• Provide production support for daily, weekly and monthly production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and Ten (10) + years’ experience in Information Technology, including a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in hands-on C/C++ programming preferably on POS systems.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles, which prior experience can confirm.
• Experience utilizing Agile SCRUM development process.
• Ability to interact well with the user base, development teams and other technical teams.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues/problems in aggressive timeframes.
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle high-pressure situations with minimum direction.
• Team player with a proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.
