Job description
Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil/Dam Engineer to lead the planning, design, and construction oversight of dam projects. This full-time position is based in Tallahassee, Florida, with the flexibility to work remotely while collaborating closely with our Clearwater, FL office. Key Responsibilities: Lead comprehensive dam engineering projects from planning through construction oversight. Collaborate with civil, structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineers to develop integrated project plans. Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local dam safety and water resource regulations. Utilize advanced engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce detailed design documentation. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to guide project decisions. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and project teams. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to present findings and recommendations. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable. Extensive experience in dam engineering including planning, design, and construction oversight. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations on dam safety and water resources. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated project management experience with strong organizational skills.
