Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – AWS

Tasks

• Lead the design, implementation, automation, security, and operational management of enterprise cloud environments, with a primary focus on AWS and secondary support for Azure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of overall IT experience across infrastructure, architecture, networking, operating systems, databases, and applications
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure and application experience
• Strong AWS expertise: EC2, VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SSM, RDS, Lambda
• AWS container services: ECS and EKS
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent
• Azure fundamentals: Virtual Machines, VNETs, Storage, IAM, and Backup
• Automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and compliance controls
• Containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes
• Disaster recovery, backup, high availability, and business continuity
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident management skills
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure architect or senior cloud engineer
• Experience building enterprise-grade cloud environments and landing zones
• Strong automation-first mindset and infrastructure engineering practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across integrated technical teams
• Strong ownership, judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills

Schedule

• 12 Months+ Contract
• Quarterly onsite PI/Planning meetings in Washington, DC
