Job description
SolarSys Tek Inc is hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Dallas, Texas. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to build and optimize data solutions that support business operations and data-driven decision-making. You will report to the Lead Data Engineer and collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes to integrate data across platforms.
- Write, maintain, and enhance SQL queries to analyze complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
- Implement and manage data lakehouse solutions for efficient data storage and access.
- Build and maintain reliable data pipelines aligned with business requirements.
- Use PySpark and Scala to deliver scalable, high-performance data processing workflows.
- Protect sensitive data and support compliance with GDPR and applicable industry regulations.
- Participate in code reviews and apply GitOps practices for version control and deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least five years of experience in data engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in ETL, SQL, and data analytics.
- Professional experience with PySpark and Scala in data engineering projects.
- Familiarity with data lakehouse architecture and data pipeline design.
- Knowledge of GDPR compliance requirements.
- Understanding of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a cross-functional team.
