Senior Data Modeler

About the role

Galaxy I Tech is looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in Databricks, ERwin, Data Architecture, and Data Modeling to support enterprise data initiatives and build scalable, high-performance data models for BI, analytics, and AI use cases.

Tasks

• Define data entities, relationships, primary keys, foreign keys, and cardinalities.
• Design and maintain fact tables, dimension tables, event tables, and feature tables.
• Define table grain, measures, timestamps, and appropriate join keys.
• Establish consistent naming conventions, data types, units, and data domains.
• Document metadata, field definitions, source systems, refresh schedules, and data ownership.
• Implement data validation checks for nullability, uniqueness, referential integrity, and value ranges.
• Optimize data models for OLAP, BI, analytics, and AI pipelines.
• Maintain model versioning, change history, and downstream schema dependencies.
• Apply Databricks concepts and data modeling best practices to deliver scalable data solutions.

Requirements

• 8–10 Years
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
• Expertise in ERwin Data Modeler
• Strong knowledge of Data Architecture and Data Modeling
• Experience designing logical and physical data models
• Understanding of fact tables, dimension tables, relationships, keys, and table grain
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and schema evolution
• Ability to optimize data models for BI, analytics, and AI use cases
