SUMMARYThe Data Scientist will lead projects and collaborate with business partners including commercial insights teams, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, data teams, external vendor partners, service owners and IS partners to develop analytical models and insights across the PR Operations Organization to answer/solve specific business problems. This role will lead advanced analytics projects from the front and will be responsible for end to end execution. This role will innovate and create significant business impact through the strategic use of advanced analytics techniques.
FUNCTIONS1. Leading, using and developing data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities across Clients commercial organization2. Leading the projects and be part of cross functional teams on projects and/or programs with aims to systematically derive insights that ultimately derive substantial business value for Client.3. Taking the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision4. Identifying business needs, doing SWOT analysis, proposing potential analytical approaches for solutions, obtain approvals and the execute the work end to end.5. Building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts using Python6. Working with SQL and other DB query languages7. Leading, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with stakeholders to develop appropriate methodology to answer specific business questions8. Presenting analysis ideas, progress and results to business partners in clear and impactful manner9. Creating powerful stories in PowerPoint. Well versed in MS Office suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint10. Assuring compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements as it relates to data assets
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS1. Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Statistics, or Operations Research2. Experience leading the projects and in executions of the projects end to end3. Experience with databases including relational, SQL, and Graph4. Programming experience with Python, R, or SAS and experience with ML libraries like scikitlearn, MLib, Keras, TensorFlow, Pytorch, etc.5. Write well-abstracted and reusable code in Python, R, or Scala; you freely navigate in Linux environment;6. Detail-oriented technical aptitude with strong logical, problem solving, and decision-making skills7. Excellent organization/planning skills and talent for managing many large and complex datasets8. Ability to collaborate and influence business partners and other IS resources to drive analytic projects end-to-end9. Excellent communication skills to communicate analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner10. Experience working with large datasets, experience working with distributed computing tools (Spark, Hive, etc.)11. Passion for learning and staying on top of current developments in advanced analytics.12. Biotech / Pharma experience

Highly preferred;• Prefer Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences degree• Special Courses or certificates in AI modelsWhat attributes (i.e. - preferred qualifications) would make this candidate stand out?• Experience providing Manufacturing support (if vials filling, preferred).• Experience deploying or integrating AI solutions into manufacturing or operational environments.• Artificial intelligence, software development and computer literacy knowledge.• Hands-on experience developing AI/ML models for process or task optimization.• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).• Experience using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or similar AI/ML frameworks.• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis using JMP, or other statistical software• Experience generating technical documentation, protocols, reports, and development records.• Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), quality systems, and compliance requirements.• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Quality and compliance-oriented mindset with attention to detail• Computer literate with proficient use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and digital technologies.
