About the role
Samaritan Center is seeking a motivated, goal-oriented Senior Director of Development to create a brand-new role and lead efforts to strengthen fundraising. This is a hybrid role in the Austin area.
Samaritan Center strengthens the mental, physical, spiritual, and social well-being of individuals and families through affordable mental health and integrative wellness services. For 52 years, it has served Central Texas through counseling, integrative medicine, community partnerships, and education. Its largest program, Hope for Heroes, serves veterans, service members, their families, and first responders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fundraising, event, and gift strategies that support the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
- Maintain the donor portfolio, cultivate new donor relationships, provide consistent outreach and stewardship, and build relationships through community events and engagements.
- Provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of fundraising events, including the Hope for Heroes Benefit, Samaritan Cup Golf Classic, and other cultivation events. Continuously evaluate event performance and community engagement.
