Job description
About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst is a critical role in the Citys financial health.
Tasks
- Closely supporting the Moose Jaw citywide budgeting and forecasting processes, performing financial analysis and partnering closely with departmental managers to provide financial guidance and support across the City.
- Serve as the main custodian of the City Budget tools; prepare annual Call for Estimates, coordinate departmental budget reviews, and assist managers with budget-to-actual variance monitoring.
- Develop rolling forecasts; lead monthly business reviews and partner with departments to address financial variance outcomes.
- Conduct cost-benefit and PESTEL analyses, maintain the City KPI Dashboard, and support Enterprise Risk Management heat map reporting.
