Senior Hyper-V & Windows Server Infrastructure Engineer

Tasks

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms and Failover Clusters.
• Manage Live Migration, Storage Migration, Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV), and high-availability configurations.
• Administer System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), including VM provisioning, host groups, templates, and virtualization networking.
• Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), server patching, and compliance.
• Support HPE Synergy and HPE ProLiant DL380 server infrastructure, including hardware, firmware, and lifecycle management.
• Perform capacity planning, resource utilization analysis, VM rightsizing, and performance optimization.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Windows Server, virtualization, storage, networking, and hardware.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Expertise in SCVMM and Hyper-V Failover Clustering.
• Experience with Live Migration, Storage Migration, and Cluster Shared Volumes.
• Hands-on experience with WSUS and enterprise patch management.
• Experience with HPE Synergy and HPE ProLiant DL380 servers.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, subnetting, NIC teaming, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with Hyper-V virtual networking, MAC address pools, and duplicate MAC troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation skills.
