Requirements:7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, including at least 3 years as the senior or lead engineer for a multi-site international WAN.Expert-level knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and FortiOS SD-WAN.Hands-on experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiAP, plus Fortinet NSE 4 (FCP – FortiGate Administrator) certification or higher.Strong Cisco Catalyst switching skills (IOS/IOS-XE): VLANs, spanning tree, stacking, 802.1X, TACACS+ and QoS.Deep routing and WAN expertise: BGP, OSPF, IPsec VPN, NAT and carrier circuit management.Proven track record leading network design and migrations, covering architecture, firewall policy, segmentation, change control and documentation.Experience managing vendors, carriers and managed service providers (MSPs), holding them strictly to SLAs.Ability to work independently, deliver against fixed deadlines and manage your own priorities without close supervision.Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical leadership, using architecture diagrams, standards and status reports.Leadership to serve as the organization’s senior network authority and hold external partners to a high standard.
Nice to have: Cloud networking experience in AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect) and Azure (VNets, VPN Gateway, NSGs).Experience migrating from Aruba (EdgeConnect or Aruba wireless) to Fortinet.Experience with network transitions during a divestiture, carve-out or provider changeover, ideally involving colocation data centers.
