Senior Network Security Engineer

Tasks

• Lead the design, configuration and optimization of enterprise Palo Alto firewalls and perimeter security platforms
• Maintain WAF, IDS/IPS, VPN and NAC technologies
• Partner with cloud, network and application teams on secure AWS and Azure architectures
• Monitor SIEM events, hunt threats, respond to incidents and run root-cause investigations
• Conduct risk assessments aligned to NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, HIPAA and ISO
• Automate security tasks with Python, PowerShell or Bash
• Create runbooks and network diagrams, and mentor junior engineers
• Take part in maintenance windows, after-hours implementations and incident response

Requirements

• 11+ years in cybersecurity engineering with a focus on enterprise network and firewall security
• Advanced, hands-on Palo Alto Networks administration
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs and WAN/LAN
• Experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, DLP, CASB and WAF
• Hands-on AWS and Azure security experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, Engineering or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• PCNSE, CISSP, CCNP Security, GIAC, CEH or Security+ preferred
• SOC experience preferred
• Zero Trust and cloud-native security experience preferred
• Only USC/GC
