About the role
Julia Nebova is seeking a Senior Python Full Stack Developer to build and improve a news aggregator focused on AI and technology. This is an end-to-end development role for an experienced engineer with strong frontend skills, production experience, and the ability to deliver polished, reliable features.

What you'll do
- Unify and improve the application's authorization flow.
- Develop hybrid search combining keyword and semantic results, balancing relevance, performance, data gaps, and result-merging formulas.
- Build graph visualization features.
- Integrate APIs and services, including email and search.
- Implement business logic and design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
- Turn Figma designs into accurate, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with a designer and project manager across the development lifecycle.
- Validate work with relevance and performance metrics, documenting results in Google Docs and Google Sheets.
Required qualifications
- Strong Vue or React frontend development skills, including attention to UX, components, and performance.
- End-to-end full-stack experience with Python and modern frontend development.
- Experience delivering production software used by real users.
- Experience integrating APIs and working with business logic.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Strong attention to detail and effective collaboration skills.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- Availability for daily standups and during working hours.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with OpenSearch or TypeSense.
- Experience with AI technologies is a plus but not a priority.
