What You'll DoRecord and review oil, gas, and NGL revenues for operated properties on a monthly basisProcess non-operated revenue activity from partner statements and check detailPrepare and load monthly revenue accruals to ensure complete and accurate financial reportingReconcile revenue transactions and allocations across properties, products, and ownership interestsProcess revenue distributions and support month-end close activitiesAssist with revenue account reconciliations and true-up entriesOwn the gas balancing process from initial reporting through final accounting and reconciliationAnalyze gas imbalance positions and prepare balancing schedules for management and audit supportRecord gas balancing adjustments, imbalance liabilities, and make-up gas entriesManage and coordinate the annual 1099 reporting process, including corrections and filingsPartner with land, operations, production, and marketing teams to investigate and resolve revenue discrepanciesSupport the Revenue Manager in strengthening controls, procedures, and public-company compliance requirementsServe as a resource and mentor to junior revenue accounting team members
What They're Looking For5+ years of upstream oil & gas revenue accounting experienceStrong understanding of operated and non-operated revenue accountingExperience managing gas balancing and imbalance accounting processesProven experience owning the 1099 reporting processStrong knowledge of revenue accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close proceduresAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with oil and gas accounting systems such as Enertia, Quorum, P2, or similar platforms
