Senior Software Engineer

Circle is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help extend its in-house blockchain systems infrastructure and build scalable technology that moves value and assets across blockchain protocols and traditional banking systems. This role focuses on building reliable, secure microservices and publicly accessible APIs that make complex payment systems simple for developers to integrate with. Requirements include 6+ years of professional software development experience in object-oriented languages, deep Java backend experience, experience leading teams of 2–4 engineers, working with payment systems, strong understanding of RESTful API design, cloud services, SQL databases, and schema design, building scalable backend infrastructure, troubleshooting skills, interest in Web3 and crypto, strong communication skills, and crypto/blockchain experience is a plus. The position is full-time, remote (US). Salary range: $147,500–$195,000, negotiable.
