SOC Analyst – Tier 3

About the role

Support cybersecurity operations for a government organization in Washington, DC.

Tasks

• Advanced security incident investigation and response
• SIEM monitoring, log analysis, and event correlation
• Threat hunting and threat intelligence analysis
• Firewall, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and malware analysis
• Incident response planning and threat remediation
• PowerShell, Perl, Regex, and security automation
• Developing SOC SOPs, runbooks, and detection rules
• Providing technical guidance to SOC analysts

Requirements

• 12+ Years experience
• 11+ years of information security technology experience.
• 5+ years of SOC operations and SIEM experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network security, and attack methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with incident response and security tools.
• Experience with PowerShell, Perl, and Regex.
• Preferred Certifications: GCIA, GCED, GPEN, GCIH, or equivalent.
