Spanish-English Medical Interpreter – Mexico City

LanguagesCX is hiring a full-time Spanish-English Medical Interpreter in Mexico City, Mexico. Help Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals communicate clearly and accurately, supporting informed care and positive patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret accurately during medical consultations, examinations, and treatments.
• Communicate medical terminology clearly and faithfully between patients and healthcare providers.
• Translate medical documents as needed while preserving the original meaning.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality in every interaction.
• Collaborate with medical staff to resolve communication gaps and clarify misunderstandings.
• Document and report interpretation issues to support continuous service improvement.
• Participate in training and professional development to strengthen interpreting skills and medical knowledge.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation or Linguistics.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent comprehension and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare protocols.
• At least two years of relevant experience; medical interpreting experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Medical interpreting certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with relevant interpretation and documentation software and tools.
