Job description
Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Chula Vista, CA for the 2026-27 school year. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student. Provide direct speech therapy services addressing specific student needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and staff to support and achieve communication goals. Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on student progress. Participate actively in staff meetings and ongoing professional development. Educate and train staff and families on effective speech and language strategies. Required and Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Special Education, Speech Language Pathology, or related field. Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and colleagues. Experience in an educational setting preferred. Familiarity with assistive technology tools for speech and communication is a plus. Minimum 1-3 years of relevant speech therapy experience.
