Job description
Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in La Mesa, CA for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to support students' mental health and emotional well-being within a collaborative educational community. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments evaluating students' cognitive, emotional, and social development. Provide individual and group counseling to support students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies and educational plans to meet students' unique needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment. Monitor and evaluate the progress of students receiving mental health support services. Participate actively in school meetings and contribute to mental health policy development. Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff on student mental health and crisis intervention techniques. Required and Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in School Psychology. Strong counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience working in K-12 educational settings is preferred. Familiarity with educational software and student assessment tools. Valid California state license or certification in school psychology. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred.
