Job description
Seeking an experienced Senior Audit Associate in Baltimore, Maryland, to lead audit, review, and compilation engagements and prepare related tax returns. This full-time role is remote-eligible and includes travel to client sites throughout the DMV, with occasional overnight trips.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the in-charge professional for audits, reviews, and compilations.
- Manage engagements for nonprofit organizations, government contractors, manufacturers, long-term care providers, construction contractors, and professional service firms.
- Prepare related tax returns.
- Train and supervise staff while supporting high-quality client service.
- Travel primarily throughout the DMV to client locations; occasional overnight travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Four to six years of audit and accounting experience at a public accounting firm.
- Experience with nonprofits, Single Audits, employee benefit plans, or government contractors is preferred.
- Tax return preparation experience, including Forms 990 and returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, is a plus.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with CCH ProSystems Engagement or CCH ProSystems Axcess is a plus.
- Self-directed, dependable, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to train and supervise staff and provide excellent client service.
- Willingness to travel throughout the DMV, including occasional overnight stays.
