Sr. Division Controller

About the role

KBP Brands is seeking a Sr. Division Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple restaurant brands and serve as a strategic partner to Operations leadership. The role combines accounting expertise, financial analysis, and business partnership to support performance, reporting, and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team responsible for operational accounting activities.
• Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
• Analyze financial results using historical trends, forecasts, and budget expectations.
• Identify business trends and provide actionable recommendations to Operations and Finance leadership.
• Partner with Operations leaders to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities.
• Develop and improve accounting controls, reporting processes, and operational metrics.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports.
• Assist with store-level performance initiatives, cost savings opportunities, and KPI reporting.
• Develop a thorough understanding of POS systems and operational reporting to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, or operational finance experience.
• Prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting or finance professionals.
• Strong financial analysis and business partnership skills.
