Job description
Akkodis is recruiting for a Staff Reliability Engineer for an aerospace and defense manufacturer in the Costa Mesa, CA or Quincy, MA areas. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $90 an hour to $120 an hour depending on experience, education and location. Reliability Engineering team ensures autonomous defense systems perform reliably throughout their lifecycle, from concept and design through production and field deployment. Reliability Engineers partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to assess risks, conduct reliability and failure analyses, develop testing strategies, investigate failures, and drive design improvements. The role requires strong technical expertise in hardware reliability, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional leadership to deliver robust, production-ready systems that meet demanding real-world mission requirements.Required Skills:Eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. Secret clearance, as requiredMinimum of 12 years experience as a Reliability Engineer, Design/Development Engineer, or Test EngineerB.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical disciplineExperience with safety-critical hardware & software systems in the defense or aerospace industryExperience or familiarity with:MIL-STD-810MIL-HDBK-217MIL-STD-461MIL-STD-516CMIL-STD-1629Experience setting up a Reliability Engineering framework for a product or program, including support of production testing, field testing, data acquisition, and data analysisExpertise in reliability analysis techniques, including FMEA/FMECA, predictive modeling, Weibull analysis, and Fault Tree AnalysisExperience with generating qualification testing requirements and executing tests to proactively characterize product behavior and performanceFailure investigation/analysis experience with proven track record of solving problems and preventing reoccurrenceDesign Review Experience (PDR, CDR, MRR) and confidence in presentation skills across all levels of leadershipIf interested forward resume to [email protected].
