About the role
GE Aerospace is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a team in the IO and Network (ION) engineering organization. The role supports the business and Application Engineering teams in defining a growth strategy, improving performance and processes, delivering projects, and achieving functional, business, and company objectives.
This People Leader role leads roughly 8-10 interdisciplinary engineers, including Engineering Project Managers (EPMs), Systems Engineers and/or Software Engineers. It spans ION products and projects, involves interfacing with outside organizations, and reports directly to the ION Engineering Leader with moderate autonomy and high levels of operational judgment. The work location is Clearwater, United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead a systems engineering team to deliver engineering excellence across bids and proposals, program execution, product development, integration, verification, certification, and customer support.
- Drive execution of safety-critical avionics and controls programs, including programs requiring compliance with DO-178C, with emphasis on rigor, planning, traceability, verification discipline, and...
- Set strategy, manage team competency development, and drive engineering execution excellence.
- Support the business and Application Engineering teams in defining a strategy for growth, continuously improving performance and processes, and executing projects that bring value to the company and customers.
