Supplier Quality Engineer

Tasks

• Manage supplier quality, development, qualification, and performance improvement.
• Review and improve PFMEA/FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and process capability studies.
• Conduct supplier, process, and product audits.
• Drive CAPA, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Review PPAP documentation and obtain required approvals.
• Analyze quality data and implement defect-prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve product quality.
• Ensure compliance with QMS and applicable ISO standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA/FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience in supplier audits, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of machining and assembly manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in GD&T and engineering blueprint reading.
• Understanding of QMS and ISO quality standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Preferred Industry Experience: Automotive manufacturing; Engine and power equipment manufacturing; Machining and assembly; Industrial equipment and mechanical/electrical manufacturing.
