Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Java Technical Lead / Product Owner to lead a development POD while actively contributing to backend development. The ideal candidate will combine strong Java expertise with technical leadership, Agile delivery, and Product Owner responsibilities.
🔹 Must-Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Advanced Java, and Java 8+
Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs
Apache Kafka – Producers, Consumers, Topics, and Partitions
Unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito
Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Maven/Gradle, and Git
Technical leadership and development POD management
Product backlog management, user stories, sprint planning, and requirement prioritization
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development POD while contributing to hands-on Java backend development.
Design and develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and resolve technical challenges.
Manage product backlogs, define user stories, and prioritize business requirements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, architects, and DevOps teams.
Ensure code quality, application performance, and timely delivery.
🔹 Preferred Qualifications:
Airline industry experience, especially in flight booking, shopping, pricing, reservations, or revenue management.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS/Azure/GCP.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
