Tiling Specialist (Contract) – Johannesburg, Gauteng

Stanleytiling is hiring a contract Tiling Specialist in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Install high-quality tiles on residential and commercial projects, helping create durable, functional, and attractive spaces. This on-site role suits an experienced tiler with precise measurement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve installation challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and cut tiles accurately for floors, walls, and other surfaces.
• Install ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles using appropriate methods and industry standards.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and leveling them to support proper tile adhesion.
• Apply grout and sealants to support durability and help prevent moisture intrusion.
• Inspect completed work and correct installation defects.
• Coordinate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain and operate tools safely and follow workplace safety practices.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience installing tiles, preferably ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone.
• Practical skills in grouting, floor and wall tiling, and accurate measurement.
• Proficiency with relevant tools and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Tiling certification or a relevant industry qualification is an advantage.

Team and Work Location

Work as part of a collaborative construction team and report to the Project Manager. This position is contract-based and on-site in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
