A highly regarded boutique litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles is looking to add an experienced Trial Counsel / Partner-level attorney to its growing litigation team.

The role:Handle complex commercial litigation and / or employment defense mattersTake lead responsibility on case strategy, client communication and trial preparationFirst-chair trials and manage high-value litigation mattersDraft and argue substantive motionsTake and defend depositionsManage discovery, expert work, hearings, mediations and settlement strategyWork closely with business clients, executives and stakeholdersHelp grow the practice and develop client relationships
Location:Downtown Los Angeles, CAHybrid:In office 3 days per week
Compensation:Up to $400,000 depending on experience, portable business and overall fit
Billables:Partner-level expectation around 1,700–1,800 hoursCommercial litigation trial counsel expectation around 1,900 hours
Requirements:10+ years of commercial litigation and / or employment defense experienceFirst-chair trial experience requiredCalifornia Bar admission in good standingStrong defense-side litigation backgroundExperience managing complex litigation matters with autonomyStrong writing, advocacy and client management skillsCommercially minded and comfortable working directly with clients
Ideal background:Commercial litigation defenseEmployment litigation defenseTrial counsel experienceBusiness disputes, shareholder / partnership disputes, wage and hour, FEHA, trade secret, consumer / regulatory or complex commercial mattersExisting book of business helpful but not essential
