About the role

Diagnostic Medical Sonographers produce sonographic images of internal organs and cavities to help diagnose disease and evaluate the pregnant uterus, with emphasis on the fetus. The role also involves imaging high-risk OB/Gyne, general and vascular structures.
Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and use appropriate transducers and operational controls to obtain the most diagnostic images possible.
- Produce high-quality images for review by the imaging physician or radiologist.
- Distinguish real anatomic reflections from tissue from artifacts and adjust controls to reduce artifacts.
