Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Underwriter to join a fast-growing financial services team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing financial applications, inputting and verifying data with a high degree of accuracy, and ensuring all underwriting decisions meet established guidelines and compliance standards. This is a precision-focused role suited for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and evaluate financial applications and supporting documentationInput and maintain accurate data across underwriting systems and platformsVerify the completeness and accuracy of submitted informationAssess risk and ensure decisions align with established underwriting guidelinesFlag discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing information for resolutionCoordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing and timely turnaroundMaintain organized and up-to-date records for all casesAdhere to compliance standards and internal policies at all times
Required QualificationsProven experience in financial underwriting or a related data-intensive financial roleStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work independently and manage a consistent workloadExcellent written and spoken English for US client-facing communicationComfortable working US Eastern hours on a full-time basisPrior remote work experience; candidates without demonstrated remote work experience will not be consideredExperience working with US-based clients
Preferred QualificationsBackground in financial services, lending, insurance, or creditFamiliarity with underwriting software and financial data platformsExperience working in a high-volume, process-driven environment
