Job description
Affinitysteps is hiring a full-time Vehicle Service Engineer in London, United Kingdom. In this hands-on automotive role, you will diagnose, service, and repair vehicles to support safe, reliable performance and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle faults using relevant tools and software.
- Service and repair a range of vehicles to a high standard.
- Record completed work and parts used accurately.
- Work with colleagues to improve service processes and vehicle maintenance.
- Keep current with automotive technology and industry best practices.
- Explain repair needs and service recommendations to customers.
- Help train new team members in diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training in automotive engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing; candidates with 0–5 years of experience are welcome.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry certifications such as IMI or ASE are a plus.
