Key Responsibilities Lead diverse audit engagements, ensuring completion within budget and adherence to high-quality standards. Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with FRS 102 and corporation tax computations accurately and timely. Secure client financial data by implementing and maintaining rigorous control procedures. Analyze accounting systems to identify issues and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. Ensure compliance with UK financial legislation by staying updated on new laws and advising clients accordingly. Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to support business growth and client satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting standards, software platforms, and industry best practices. What We're Looking For Required: Professional qualification: ACCA or ACA certification. Minimum of 5 years’ audit experience within a UK accounting practice. Thorough knowledge of preparing accounts for partnerships, companies, and sole traders. Strong understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102 standards. Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Excellent communication and leadership skills with a client-focused approach. Preferred: Experience in tax computations and corporation tax compliance. Demonstrated ability to train and develop junior auditors. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry changes.
