About the role
Cox HinKins is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead a range of audit assignments and help clients make informed financial decisions. You will prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and corporation tax computations, support colleagues, and build strong relationships with clients and the wider team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead varied audit assignments, delivering within budget and to high-quality standards.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and corporation tax computations.
- Train and support other team members.
- Maintain current, relevant technical knowledge.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships across Cox HinKins and its client base.
- Produce accurate financial reporting that helps clients evaluate options and make recommendations aligned with their objectives.
- Safeguard client financial information.
- Review and document accounting controls, identify system issues, and recommend improvements.
- Monitor applicable financial requirements and advise clients on compliance actions.
Qualifications and experience
- ACCA or ACA qualification.
- At least five years of audit experience in a UK practice.
- Strong experience preparing accounts for partnerships, companies, sole traders, and other entities.
- Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP.
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of financial and tax matters.
