Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

We are a privately owned, wellness-based hospital focusing on our canine and feline friends.

Tasks

• Greeting clients and their pets with warmth, empathy, and professionalism
• Answering multi-line phones, triaging calls, and managing the clinic email inbox and online scheduling platforms
• Invoicing, processing payments, and balancing and closing out the daily till
• Act as the liaison between anxious pet parents and the veterinary medical team

Requirements

• Previous experience in animal care is an asset
• A high degree of empathy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to maintain composure in an emotionally charged or busy clinical setting
• Familiarity with basic veterinary medical terminology is preferred
• A passion for animals
• A friendly, welcoming personality
• Great communication skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
