WAF/Akamai Security Engineer

Tasks

• Onboard and migrate apps to Akamai WAF
• Tune policies and resolve false positives
• Analyze WAF, Bot Manager, DDoS, and API Security events
• Support incident response and root-cause analysis
• Act as the primary liaison with Akamai
• Lead WAF onboarding and policy tuning across a large enterprise portfolio, taking applications from monitor mode to full deny mode
• Help secure AI/LLM and API traffic

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Akamai experience
• Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, API Security
• OWASP Top 10
• Incident response experience
• Bonus: AI/LLM security, Akamai Firewall for AI, enterprise-scale migrations, financial services background
• USC, GC, H1B, or any valid US work authorization
• Montreal (Canada) candidates also welcome
