Woodwind Instrument Technician

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair, overhaul, and adjust woodwind instruments, including clarinets, flutes, oboes, English horns, bassoons, saxophones, piccolos and sopranos.
- Fit springs, straighten hinge tubes, replace screws, and regulate and tunes instruments..
- Tighten, straighten, and remove dents from instruments; perform soft and silver soldering; clean and polish instruments; and repair instrument cases.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency.
Experience: Two years of paid experience in the repair of woodwind instruments.

Completion of a music instrument repair certificate, diploma, or equivalent credits from an educational institution may substitute for one year of the required experience.
